Cross-border drone strikes and frontline battles inflict heavy casualties in Ukraine and Russia

Intense reciprocal strikes and ground fighting have caused dozens of casualties across Ukraine and western Russia. In Ukraine, Russian bombardments struck civilian and commercial sites across Kharkiv and Kyiv, killing at least 19 people and injuring dozens more. On the front lines, Russian forces advanced near Artilne and maintained pressure around Kostyantynivka, while Ukrainian units progressed toward Uspenivka. Simultaneously, Belarus announced the creation of an air assault brigade near the Ukrainian border.

Across the border, Ukrainian drone waves struck multiple Russian regions. A drone crashed onto a crowded beach in Krasnodar Krai's Arkhipo-Osipovka, killing seven people and injuring approximately 40. In the Moscow region, drone strikes left five dead and ten injured. Fires were also reported at commercial warehouses in both the Moscow and Leningrad regions following drone interceptions.
