Cross-border drone and missile strikes inflict severe casualties across Russia and Ukraine

Deadly cross-border aerial strikes and ground clashes continued between Russia and Ukraine, causing significant casualties on both sides. In Ukraine, Russian missile and drone attacks on Kharkiv killed at least ten people and wounded eight, damaging residential buildings, commercial businesses, and local infrastructure, following earlier bombardments against Kyiv that claimed nine lives. Ground hostilities also intensified, with Russian forces pressing tactical advances in the Kharkiv sector.

Concurrently, Ukrainian drone strikes targeted several Russian territories. In the Moscow region, drone impacts killed five people and injured at least ten, igniting warehouse fires. In the Leningrad region, falling drones caused a fire at a Wildberries logistics facility in Krasny Bor. On the Black Sea coast in Krasnodar Krai, a drone crash on a beach near Gelendzhik left seven people dead and dozens injured.
