Casualties mount across Ukraine and Russia amid intense strikes and frontline battles

Cross-border aerial attacks and intense frontline clashes have caused substantial casualties across Ukraine and Russia.

In Ukraine, Russian strikes hit civilian and commercial sites, killing at least ten people in Kharkiv and nine in Kyiv. Along the front line, Russian forces achieved tactical gains near Artilne in Kharkiv Oblast and exerted pressure around Kostyantynivka, while Ukrainian troops advanced toward Uspenivka. Concurrently, Belarusian authorities announced a new air assault brigade near the border with Ukraine.

Simultaneously, widespread Ukrainian drone strikes targeted Russian territory. Five people were killed and ten injured in Moscow Oblast following strikes on warehouse infrastructure, while another depot caught fire in Leningrad Oblast. In Krasnodar Krai, a drone crashed onto a Black Sea beach near Gelendzhik, killing seven people and injuring dozens more.
