Artificial intelligence and commercial technology continue to rapidly transform military capabilities, tactical planning, and battlefield operations worldwide.

The war in Ukraine continues to highlight the rapid integration of artificial intelligence and commercial technologies into military operations. Former Google chief Eric Schmidt noted that autonomous and AI-driven drone warfare represents a historic transformation in combat, while Ukraine's former defense minister Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized the critical need to outpace adversaries across continuous technological cycles.

Simultaneously, supply chains and operational boundaries remain significant friction points. Ukrainian military intelligence reported finding an American-made microcomputer inside a newly manufactured Russian missile, indicating possible AI-assisted guidance. Meanwhile, SpaceX owner Elon Musk continues to block Ukraine from using Starlink satellite networks to direct strikes into Russian territory. In parallel, China's military has deployed specialized AI software engineered to plan and synchronize coordinated air strikes against hundreds of targets simultaneously.
