Artificial intelligence and commercial technologies are transforming warfare, from drone doctrines in Ukraine to algorithmic strike planning by China's military.

The rapid integration of artificial intelligence and commercial hardware continues to reshape military strategies worldwide. Former Google chief executive Eric Schmidt stated that the deployment of autonomous systems and drone technologies in Ukraine represents a profound transformation in combat doctrine. Former Ukrainian defense minister Mykhailo Fedorov noted that maintaining continuous innovation cycles remains critical, despite constraints such as restrictions on employing commercial satellite links like Starlink for strikes within Russian territory.

Simultaneously, Ukrainian intelligence identified American-manufactured microcomputers within newer Russian missiles, pointing to potential AI-assisted guidance mechanisms. In East Asia, China's military has introduced an algorithmic platform capable of coordinating mass airstrikes against hundreds of targets simultaneously, reflecting a wider international trend toward automated operational planning.
