Netanyahu rejects US-backed Gaza peace plan, demanding Hamas disarm

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has formally rejected a 15-point US-backed Gaza peace framework, reiterating that Israeli troops will not pull out of the enclave until Hamas undergoes total disarmament.
In televised remarks to his government, Netanyahu directly addressed the initiative recently endorsed by US President Donald Trump and accepted by Hamas. "Israel rejects the 15-point document," Netanyahu stated, adding that the military "will not carry out any withdrawal until Hamas is genuinely disarmed" while continuing to counter operational threats.
The refusal underscores escalating diplomatic tension between Netanyahu and Washington. Although Israeli military strikes in Gaza have substantially slowed amid pressure from the White House, Netanyahu faces intense political balancing ahead of Israel’s general election on October 27, situated between far-right coalition partners and the US administration.
