Severe wildfires in Croatia and Greece have destroyed property, injured dozens of people, and prompted emergency evacuations in major coastal tourist destinations.

Wildfires continue to impact popular tourist regions in Croatia and Greece. In Croatia's Dalmatia region, a major blaze spreading from Lokva Rogoznica reached Omiš, destroying houses, vehicles, and boats. Healthcare facilities in Split treated dozens of injured people, hospitalizing 14 patients, with up to eight remaining in intensive care with life-threatening burns. Danas reported that one body was recovered at the scene, though other reports citing official data stated there were no confirmed fatalities. By morning, firefighters and Canadair aircraft contained the open flames to focus on dampening hotspots.

In northern Greece, emergency services deployed 142 firefighters, 51 vehicles, and 16 aircraft to tackle a forest fire on the Halkidiki peninsula, initiating land and sea evacuations for tourists.
