US President Donald Trump warned of new military strikes if Iran retaliates following strikes near Bandar Abbas, while Tehran affirmed it will decisively counter any aggression.

Tensions between Washington and Tehran have escalated following recent military exchanges near the Iranian coastal locations of Bandar Abbas and Sirik. United States President Donald Trump warned that further military bombardments would follow if Iran chooses to retaliate, adding that Iranian leadership is eager to reach a diplomatic agreement with Washington.

In response, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that while Tehran does not seek an expanded regional conflict, it will "decisively respond to aggressors." Meanwhile, Iranian military officials dismissed assertions regarding damage to their naval capabilities, maintaining that their fleet remains operational. Both nations continue to maintain heightened military readiness amid ongoing volatility in the region.
