US President Donald Trump stated there are no scheduled talks with Iran as tensions rise in the Strait of Hormuz, while Gaza ceasefire negotiations remain stalled.

United States President Donald Trump confirmed there are currently no diplomatic talks planned with Iran, maintaining that Tehran must be prevented from acquiring nuclear weapons. Trump warned of potential military action if Iranian or Omani forces disrupt operations in the Strait of Hormuz following an attack on a vessel in the strategic waterway. Iranian officials responded by stating their military will adopt an offensive posture should diplomatic avenues remain closed.

Concurrently, efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza face obstacles. While Hamas declared its acceptance of the second phase of a peace proposal put forward by Washington, Israeli officials insist their military forces will not withdraw until Hamas undergoes complete disarmament.
