The US charged five alleged Russian intelligence operatives with murder plots, while a German court convicted a man over a Russian parcel bomb scheme.

United States federal prosecutors in Manhattan have unsealed charges against five individuals linked to Russian intelligence services over a coordinated campaign of sabotage and targeted killings. Authorities state the suspects recruited and paid operatives to stalk and attack individuals supporting Ukraine across Europe and North America, including a June 2024 assault in Prague. All five accused men currently remain at large.

Concurrently, a regional court in Stuttgart, Germany, convicted a Ukrainian national for participating in a Russian-orchestrated parcel bomb scheme. Investigators established that the individual and accomplices mailed packages containing explosives and tracking devices to Ukraine to erode public trust in European security.
