Federal prosecutors in the US charged five alleged Russian operatives with targeting supporters of Ukraine, while a German court convicted a man over a Russian-linked parcel bomb scheme.

United States federal authorities have unsealed an indictment charging five alleged Russian intelligence operatives with conspiring to carry out assassinations and sabotage across North America and Europe. According to the US Department of Justice, the network recruited individuals to surveil and execute attacks targeting supporters of Ukraine, including a June 2024 operation in Prague. All five suspects remain at large.

In a related development, a regional court in Stuttgart, Germany, convicted a Ukrainian national for participating in a Kremlin-backed parcel bomb plot. Investigators stated the operation involved sending international packages equipped with tracking devices to disrupt logistics networks and compromise public security.
