US prosecutors charged five alleged Russian intelligence operatives with plotting sabotage and assassinations targeting allies of Ukraine, while Denmark reported Russian sabotage on its defense firms.

United States federal prosecutors in Manhattan have unsealed charges against five alleged Russian intelligence operatives, accusing them of managing a global network tasked with executing targeted assassinations and sabotage against supporters of Ukraine across North America and Europe.

According to the Department of Justice, the suspects recruited and offered payments to individuals to conduct surveillance and launch attacks against targets perceived as aligned with Kyiv, including a June 2024 operation in Prague. All five charged individuals remain at large.

Meanwhile, Denmark’s Security and Intelligence Service reported at a Copenhagen conference that Russian operatives conducted targeted sabotage against Danish defense manufacturers producing military equipment for Ukraine, characterising the actions as a major escalation in Moscow’s hybrid warfare operations.
