US prosecutors charged five alleged Russian agents over murder and sabotage plots targeting Ukraine allies, while Denmark reported attacks on defense firms.

Federal prosecutors in the United States have unsealed charges against five alleged Russian intelligence operatives accused of directing a global network to carry out targeted assassinations and sabotage against supporters of Ukraine.

According to an indictment in a Manhattan court, the suspects paid or attempted to recruit individuals across Europe and North America to surveil and attack targets perceived as aligned with Kyiv. Alleged operations include a June 2024 attack in Prague and planned killings within the United States. All five suspects remain at large.

Simultaneously, Denmark’s Security and Intelligence Service stated that Russian operatives executed direct sabotage against Danish defense contractors supplying hardware to Ukraine, marking what authorities termed an escalation in hybrid warfare.
