US and Iran exchange warnings following strikes near port cities

The United States and Iran are on high alert following military strikes near Bandar Abbas and Sirik, with both sides issuing stern warnings.
Tensions between the United States and Iran have heightened following military strikes near the Iranian port cities of Bandar Abbas and Sirik. U.S. President Donald Trump warned Tehran against retaliation, threatening further action while claiming Iranian leaders are eager to reach a diplomatic agreement.
In response, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that while Iran does not seek war, it will "decisively respond to aggressors." Additionally, Iranian military commanders dismissed claims that their naval fleet was damaged, asserting that maritime forces remain operational. The strikes mark the first direct military confrontation between Washington and Tehran in over a month, keeping both nations on high alert amid lingering regional volatility.
