United States conducts military strikes against Iranian sites near Bandar Abbas

The US launched military strikes near Bandar Abbas and Sirik, prompting warnings of further action from Donald Trump and a firm response pledge from Iranian leadership.
The United States has carried out military strikes against Iranian positions near Bandar Abbas and Sirik, marking the first direct exchange of fire between the two nations in a month. United States President Donald Trump warned of additional strikes if Tehran retaliates, asserting that Iranian leadership is "begging" for a diplomatic agreement with Washington.
In response, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Tehran does not seek broader military conflict, but warned it will "decisively respond to aggressors." Iranian officials also denied reports that their naval assets sustained major damage, maintaining that forces in the region remain operational. The military engagement has further escalated geopolitical tensions across the Middle East.
