Ukrainian service members highlight structural issues in military logistics and draft processes

Ukrainian service members and commentators have raised concerns over persistent institutional challenges within the nation's armed forces, addressing issues surrounding rotations, supply chains, commendations, and mobilization.

Speaking to Radio Svoboda, military surgeon Bohdan Zhuravel warned that troops face indefinite service without rotations, cautioning that unaddressed fatigue risks severe demoralization. Drone unit commander Yuriy Butusov told NV that frontline officers still lack centralized logistical support, forcing leaders to secure unit supplies independently.

Meanwhile, an investigation by Ukrainska Pravda revealed that official military medals are frequently allocated to headquarters staff rather than frontline soldiers. Serviceman Pavlo Kazarin also told Liga net that reforming medical evaluation boards and deferment procedures is essential to ensure a fairer draft.
