US President Donald Trump called on Ukraine and Russia to reach a peace agreement before winter following talks with both leaders.

US President Donald Trump has urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to reach a peace agreement prior to the onset of winter. The statement followed diplomatic talks, including a phone call between Trump and Putin and a direct meeting with Zelensky.

Trump expressed confidence regarding Moscow's willingness to negotiate, remarking, "He wants a deal, and if Zelensky wants a deal, that would be great."

In response, Zelensky characterized his discussions with the US leader as "positive and productive," noting that both Washington and Kyiv share the goal of ending the conflict in the coming months. Trump reiterated his belief that a negotiated settlement remains possible if both nations commit to dialogue.
