Trump presses Ukraine and Russia to reach peace agreement before winter
Donald Trump urges Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin to agree on a settlement before winter, claiming Moscow seeks a peace deal.
U.S. President Donald Trump has reiterated his call for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate an end to the conflict before winter. Speaking after discussions with both heads of state, Trump expressed conviction that Moscow is seeking a resolution, stating that "he wants a deal and if Zelensky wants a deal, that would be great."
Zelensky described his exchange with Trump as "positive and productive," confirming a shared objective between Washington and Kyiv to halt Russian aggression in the coming months. While leaders signaled optimism regarding potential negotiations, specific terms for a peace settlement have not been disclosed.
