U.S. President Donald Trump urged leaders in Kyiv and Moscow to conclude a peace agreement before winter following talks with Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin.

U.S. President Donald Trump has called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to reach an agreement ending their conflict prior to winter. Following a telephone call with Putin and a subsequent bilateral meeting with Zelensky, Trump expressed confidence that Moscow is open to negotiations, adding that "if Zelensky wants a deal, that would be great."

Zelensky described his discussions with the American leader as "positive and productive," noting that both Washington and Kyiv share the goal of halting Russian military actions in the near future. While Trump reiterated that a diplomatic resolution remains feasible, he emphasized that both nations must actively commit to negotiations to achieve a lasting settlement.
