U.S. President Donald Trump has called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to reach a peace agreement to conclude the conflict before winter. Speaking after a telephone conversation with Putin, Trump stated that the Russian leader "wants a deal and, if Zelensky wants a deal, that would be great."
Following a bilateral meeting with Trump, Zelensky described their discussions as "positive and productive." The Ukrainian leader confirmed that both Kyiv and Washington share the objective of stopping Russian aggression in the coming months. Trump reiterated his stance that a diplomatic settlement is achievable if both leaders commit to negotiations.
