Trump urges peace deal for Ukraine before winter following talks

Following recent discussions between U.S. President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and Russian President Vladimir Putin, diplomatic efforts have intensified around ending the conflict before winter. Trump expressed confidence that Moscow is seeking a resolution, stating after a phone call with Putin that "if Zelensky wants an agreement, that would be great."

Meanwhile, Zelensky described his bilateral talk with Trump as "positive and productive." In a statement posted on social media, the Ukrainian leader emphasized that both Washington and Kyiv share the goal of halting Russian aggression in the coming months. Despite the mutual public calls for a diplomatic settlement and optimistic tone regarding potential talks, neither side has outlined specific terms for achieving peace.
