US President Donald Trump ruled out talks with Iran amid Strait of Hormuz tensions, while Gaza ceasefire efforts remain stalled over disarmament demands.

US President Donald Trump announced that no diplomatic talks with Tehran are currently scheduled, reiterating that Iran must not obtain nuclear weapons. Trump warned of potential military escalation should Iranian or Omani forces interfere with US operations in the Strait of Hormuz, following a recent strike on a commercial vessel in the region. In response, Iranian officials stated that their forces would adopt an offensive stance if diplomatic options are exhausted.

Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts regarding Gaza remain deadlocked. Hamas reported its acceptance of the second phase of a US-backed peace framework. However, Israeli leadership rejected immediate troop withdrawal, maintaining that military forces will remain in the Gaza Strip until Hamas achieves total disarmament.
