Former Slovenian national team players Aleš Čeh and Jan Mlakar have offered perspectives on their careers and the state of Slovenian club football.

Čeh, who captained Slovenia during their qualification for major tournaments, discussed his post-playing career in coaching. He spent over a decade working alongside former national team head coach Srečko Katanec, including seven years coaching in Asia. Čeh highlighted his ongoing affinity for Olimpija Ljubljana and Austrian club Grazer AK, while expressing respect for Maribor.

Separately, forward Jan Mlakar addressed his third spell with Maribor. Despite being born in Ljubljana, Mlakar clarified that he was "never close to signing" with Olimpija.
