Slovenian football figures reflect on careers ahead of Olimpija and Maribor derby

Prominent Slovenian football figures have offered insights into their career trajectories and domestic club dynamics ahead of the upcoming derby between Olimpija Ljubljana and Maribor.

Former national team captain Aleš Čeh highlighted his transition to coaching following a long-standing partnership with manager Srečko Katanec, which included seven years working in Asia. Despite deep ties to Olimpija Ljubljana and Austria's Grazer AK, Čeh expressed enduring respect for Maribor.

Meanwhile, forward Jan Mlakar discussed his third spell with Maribor, voicing confidence in the club's management structure.
