Ahead of the upcoming derby between Olimpija Ljubljana and Maribor, prominent Slovenian football figures Aleš Čeh and Jan Mlakar have reflected on their respective careers and current club dynamics.

Former national team captain Čeh detailed his transition into coaching after his playing career, highlighting over a decade spent as an assistant to manager Srečko Katanec, including seven years working in Asia. Despite his historical ties to Olimpija and Austrian side Grazer AK, Čeh expressed continued respect for Maribor.
