Former Slovenian national team captain Aleš Čeh and forward Jan Mlakar have provided updates on their career paths and views on domestic club football.

Čeh, a key figure in Slovenia's golden generation, discussed his transition into coaching. Following a playing career with clubs including Olimpija, GAK, and Maribor, he spent over a decade assisting Srečko Katanec, which included seven years coaching in Asia.

Separately, 27-year-old forward Jan Mlakar discussed his third spell at Maribor. Despite being born in Ljubljana, Mlakar noted he was never close to joining hometown club Olimpija. Commenting on the upcoming derby, Mlakar observed that while Olimpija faces current difficulties, derby outcomes remain inherently uncertain.
