Intensified Russian attacks across Ukraine have caused severe casualties, power grid damage, and mass displacement, while Kyiv faces air defense shortages and intensifies military draft efforts.

Escalating Russian drone and missile strikes across Ukraine are driving civilian casualties, infrastructure destruction, and mass internal displacement. Civilian fatalities in July reached at least 437, marking the highest monthly toll since the early stages of the invasion. A recent double strike on a shopping center in Kryvyi Rih left at least 14 people dead and over 120 injured.

Amid severe power grid damage, Kherson Governor Oleksandr Prokudin urged families and elderly residents to evacuate before winter. Concurrently, hubs like Lozova are absorbing up to 300 internally displaced persons daily from the Donetsk region.

Facing critical air defense shortages, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy continues to request Patriot missile systems from Western allies. Meanwhile, authorities have intensified street mobilization efforts to track down an estimated two million men evading military service.
