Polish analysts urge institutional and procurement reforms to ensure record military spending translates into effective deterrence and operational readiness.

Polish military analysts and think tanks are calling for structural reforms to match Warsaw's record defense spending, which is projected to reach 4.81 percent of GDP by 2026. While Poland continues acquiring heavy military hardware—including Abrams tanks, HIMARS rocket launchers, and F-35 fighter jets—analysts argue that equipment purchases alone cannot ensure effective deterrence.

Proposals from think tanks, including Rozwój Plus and the Defence Institute, emphasize overhauling procurement mechanisms, command structures, personnel policies, and mobilization capabilities. Commentators warn that without institutional modernization, extensive acquisitions will not translate into full operational readiness or effective integration.
