Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected a US-backed 15-point Gaza peace plan, stating forces will not withdraw until Hamas is fully disarmed.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has formally rejected a 15-point Gaza peace proposal backed by US President Donald Trump, declaring that Israeli forces will not withdraw from the territory until Hamas is fully disarmed.

Speaking at a cabinet meeting on Sunday, Netanyahu stated that "Israel rejects the 15-point document" and affirmed that military units "will not carry out any withdrawal until Hamas is genuinely disarmed." The peace framework had previously received endorsement from Hamas following Trump's announcement of a diplomatic breakthrough.

The refusal highlights expanding diplomatic tension between Jerusalem and Washington, despite Israeli military strikes in Gaza slowing under American diplomatic influence. Netanyahu faces domestic pressure from far-right coalition partners while preparing for national elections scheduled for October 27.
