Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda has urged the public to remain calm amid an increased military presence along the country's border with Russia, calling the move a necessary preventive measure. Addressing public concerns, Nausėda stated that "it is better to take additional security measures in good time to prevent risks than to react late."
Beyond border fortification, Nausėda acknowledged existing vulnerabilities in Lithuania's national defense framework.
