Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda has urged the public to remain calm amid heightened security measures along the nation's border with Russia, emphasizing that military deployments are a preventive step against potential provocations. Nausėda noted that "it is better to observe even excessive caution" rather than react after an incident occurs.

During an extensive interview, the president also highlighted gaps in Lithuania's air defense capabilities and acknowledged delays in joint drone manufacturing initiatives with Ukraine.
