The death toll from severe flooding in Istanbul has risen to seven as emergency teams handle thousands of calls and maintain weather warnings across affected Turkish provinces.

Heavy rainfall and severe flooding across Istanbul, Antalya, Sakarya, and Kocaeli have caused extensive urban disruption and led to multiple fatalities. The death toll in Istanbul reached seven following the recovery of a missing person's body in the Golden Horn near Eyüpsultan. Earlier incidents included a fatal electric shock in Fatih and a drowning in Sarıyer, while search operations continued for missing individuals across affected provinces.

Disaster management teams from the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) and local municipalities responded to thousands of distress calls as rivers overflowed and roadways submerged. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Environment Minister Murat Kurum stated that state institutions are maintaining full field coordination and relief operations. Weather authorities have issued ongoing alerts for heavy rain across eastern districts.
