Intensified strikes hit Russian and Ukrainian regions as frontline devastation mounts

Heavy cross-border drone and artillery strikes have caused civilian casualties, power outages, and widespread damage across Russia and Ukraine.
Russia and Ukraine exchanged extensive aerial and artillery bombardments, causing civilian casualties, infrastructure damage, and widespread destruction along frontline areas.
According to officials in Moscow, Russian air defense systems intercepted more than 200 of an estimated 600 Ukrainian drones directed at the Russian capital region, leaving three individuals injured.
Simultaneously, Ukrainian regional authorities reported that Russian air bombs and artillery fire in eastern areas, including Dnipropetrovsk, killed at least three civilians and wounded nine others. In northern Ukraine's Chernihiv region, power grid damage cut electricity to roughly 99,000 residents. Meanwhile, ongoing bombardment in Donetsk Oblast has heavily devastated Druzhkivka, a key settlement in the Kramatorsk defense belt, where intense shelling has reduced the pre-war population of 56,000 to fewer than 4,000 residents.
