German authorities are investigating an explosive-laden drone at Leipzig/Halle Airport, while Moscow reported a major barrage of Ukrainian drones.

German authorities continue investigating an explosive-laden drone discovered at Leipzig/Halle Airport near Ukrainian transport aircraft carrying military supplies. German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt indicated a state actor was likely behind the incident, which investigators deem a potential hybrid attack intended to trigger an explosion. Terrorism expert Peter Neumann stated that "Russia is of course the main suspect" given the target and methods involved, adding that "we should actually assume that this was an attack on Germany."

Concurrently, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that Ukrainian forces launched at least 184 drones toward the Russian capital and surrounding areas on Tuesday. Sobyanin stated that Russian air defense systems intercepted most incoming aircraft.
