German police admitted search errors after a missing toddler drowned in a pool in Preetz, while 15 students and teachers were injured in a bus crash in the Netherlands.

German authorities in Schleswig-Holstein have confirmed that a missing three-year-old girl was found dead in a pool on her family's property in Preetz, near Kiel. An autopsy indicated that the child drowned. Police acknowledged errors during their initial search of the premises after failing to locate the girl earlier.

Separately, a tour bus carrying 54 passengers, including students and teachers from the Gemeinschaftsschule Probstei in Schönberg, crashed early in the morning in the Netherlands. At least 15 people were injured, some seriously, in the incident. Emergency services responded to the crash site, and investigations into the cause of the bus accident remain ongoing.
