German authorities warn that the nation faces daily foreign hybrid warfare attacks after an explosive drone was found at Leipzig/Halle Airport near Ukrainian cargo aircraft.

German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt and security experts have warned that the country faces ongoing foreign hybrid operations following the discovery of an explosive-laden drone at Leipzig/Halle Airport. Federal prosecutors are treating the incident as a deliberate attempted attack near Ukrainian cargo planes carrying ammunition. Terrorism expert Peter Neumann stated that "Russia is of course the main suspect" given the target and methodology used. Dobrindt warned that foreign actors are attempting to destabilize German society through sabotage, cyberattacks, and covert operations. Emphasizing the continuous risk, Dobrindt noted that "we are not at war, but we are daily targets for hybrid warfare."
