Emergency services across Germany, Belgium, and France continue battling wildfires amid high temperatures, with active operations in the Black Forest and Landes.

Firefighters across Western Europe continue to tackle multiple wildfires fueled by dry conditions and high temperatures. In Germany, a blaze in steep terrain near Schramberg in Baden-Württemberg expanded, with difficult topography hindering ground crews from directly reaching hotspots.

Meanwhile, cross-border firefighting operations remain active in the High Fens nature reserve along the German-Belgian border, supported by German military helicopters. Officials reported the fire is no longer advancing toward Germany, following precautionary evacuations in Monschau due to dense smoke. In North Rhine-Westphalia, emergency services brought a 300-hectare blaze in the Hürtgenwald under control.

In southwestern France, a wildfire in the Landes department burned approximately 1,580 hectares of pine forest. Around 650 residents were evacuated, though authorities confirmed the fire caused no damage to residential properties.
