European authorities are intensifying actions against organized crime networks using online platforms to recruit minors for contract killings across borders.

European law enforcement agencies are increasing operations against transnational crime networks that recruit minors online to execute contract violence.

In Spain, authorities in Alicante arrested a 22-year-old Swedish national suspected of ordering violent attacks in Sweden. Meanwhile, an off-duty Spanish police officer traveling in Belgium assisted in capturing a 17-year-old suspect connected to a lethal shooting in Spain. These developments follow the UK sentencing of an 18-year-old Norwegian national recruited via the Swedish-based Foxtrot network. Media reports indicate gangs are using online advertisements offering up to 90,000 euros to enlist young operatives across several cities.

In a separate incident in northeastern France, French police are investigating a suspected murder-suicide after a father reportedly killed three family members, including two young children, with a rifle.
