Donald Trump urges Ukraine and Russia to reach peace deal before winter

U.S. President Donald Trump has called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate a settlement to end the war in Ukraine prior to winter. Following a meeting with Zelensky, Trump stated that both sides need to reach an agreement, adding that a recent phone conversation with Putin convinced him the Russian president also desires a resolution.
