Donald Trump and Xi Jinping discuss Ukraine in Washington summit

US President Donald Trump hosted Chinese President Xi Jinping at the White House for high-level talks addressing major international security crises, including the war in Ukraine, regional stability in the Middle East, and tensions on the Korean Peninsula.

The three-day event marks Xi’s first official state visit to the United States in over a decade. In an unusual diplomatic gesture, Trump personally welcomed the Chinese leader on the airport tarmac upon his arrival.
