Bulgaria's defence ministry confirmed a crashed drone is of a type used by Ukrainian forces, noting no evidence points to a deliberate strike.

Bulgaria's Ministry of Defence has released preliminary findings concerning the unmanned aerial vehicle that crashed inside the country's borders over the weekend. Officials stated that the device matches a design "largely used by Ukrainian armed forces."

However, defence authorities stressed that present evidence does not point to an intentional cross-border strike or an attack aimed at domestic infrastructure. Technical experts from the Bulgarian military are conducting a detailed analysis of the wreckage to reconstruct its flight path, verify its launch origin, and identify any mechanical or navigational malfunctions that caused the crash.

The crash caused no reported casualties or structural damage. Authorities in Sofia noted that coordination with NATO counterparts is ongoing as investigators conclude the technical review.
