The British Royal Navy monitored Russian vessels in UK waters as Ukrainian forces confront ongoing shortages of air defense missiles and troop personnel.

The British Royal Navy has concluded a three-day surveillance operation monitoring Russian warships and sanctioned shadow fleet cargo vessels transiting UK waters. Deploying the HMS Duncan, HMS St Albans, and HMS Severn, naval forces utilized radar and sensor arrays to maintain continuous tracking of passing foreign ships.

Meanwhile, military operations in Ukraine remain constrained by critical shortages of air defense interceptors and troop manpower. Both Russian and Ukrainian forces continue to expand their use of long-range attack drones and cruise missiles. However, Ukraine remains particularly vulnerable to aerial strikes due to depleted missile inventories for its defense systems. Ukrainian commanders are attempting to check Russian territorial gains while minimizing troop casualties to prepare for a potential future mobilization drive by Moscow. Additionally, reports indicate a Russian official was removed from office after issuing warnings concerning a possible "social crisis" within Russia.
