Heavy combat continues along Ukrainian frontlines as both sides claim localized gains
Clashes persist across key Ukrainian frontlines, with Ukrainian troops advancing near Kupiansk and Lyman while Russia claims gains near Sumy and denies losses in Zaporizhzhia.
Fighting across multiple Ukrainian frontlines continues as both Kyiv and Moscow report opposing operational developments. To the north of Kupiansk, Ukrainian forces are advancing along the right bank of the Oskil River. Furthermore, Ukrainian officials are set to announce the recapture of approximately 200 square kilometers near Lyman.
Conversely, Russia’s Ministry of Defence stated that its troops secured several settlements near Sumy and launched targeted strikes against ammunition depots in the Kyiv region. On the southern Zaporizhzhia front, General Staff Chief Valery Gerasimov publicly rejected claims of Ukrainian territorial advances, asserting that Russian positions remain intact. The conflicting claims highlight ongoing operational volatility across northern, eastern, and southern sectors.
