Ukrainian service members raise concerns over rotations, supply, and army reforms
Ukrainian service members and commentators have highlighted logistical strains, rotation delays, and administrative inequities facing the armed forces.
Ukrainian military personnel and commentators have raised growing concerns regarding administrative, logistical, and operational challenges within the armed forces. Frontline medical officer Bohdan Zhuravel criticized current policies, stating troops feel like "serfs" due to prolonged deployments without rotations.
Logistical burdens also remain a critical issue. Drone unit commander Yuriy Butusov reported that officers must independently procure essential unit supplies due to a lack of institutional accountability. Meanwhile, an investigation into military awards revealed that commendations are disproportionately distributed to brigade staff rather than frontline soldiers. To improve mobilization fairness, service member Pavlo Kazarin advocated targeted reforms addressing deferments and military medical commissions.
