Netanyahu rejects US Gaza peace proposal as strikes escalate
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu rejected a 15-point US peace proposal for Gaza, insisting troops will not withdraw without Hamas's complete disarmament as strikes continue.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has explicitly rejected a US-backed 15-point peace framework for Gaza, stating, "We did not agree to it. It is not our draft." Netanyahu affirmed that Israeli forces will maintain their positions in the enclave until Hamas undergoes complete and verifiable disarmament.
In response to concerns raised by Israeli leadership, US President Donald Trump's Peace Council assured Israel that any troop withdrawal remains strictly contingent upon total disarmament by Hamas. However, diplomatic progress remains stalled as military actions intensify on the ground. Palestinian health authorities reported that recent Israeli air strikes killed at least 19 people within a 24-hour period, casting severe doubt over the viability of the proposed agreement.
