Ukrainian drone strikes kill eight in Russia while Hungary faces energy crisis
Ukrainian drone attacks killed eight people in Russia, while Hungary faces power shortage concerns following the shutdown of its Paks nuclear plant.
Ukrainian drone attacks across several Russian regions killed at least eight people and damaged a warehouse belonging to Wildberries, Russia's largest online retailer, according to regional authorities.
Meanwhile, Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar warned of five "critical" days ahead after record-low water levels on the Danube River forced the temporary shutdown of the country's Paks nuclear power plant. The closure—the facility's first in more than 40 years—coincides with an incoming heatwave, prompting official calls for citizens and businesses to significantly reduce their electricity consumption to avoid power grid disruptions.
