The US Board of Peace told Israel that troop withdrawals from Gaza will only occur after Hamas fully disarms, following security concerns from Netanyahu.

The U.S. Board of Peace has reassured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Israeli forces will not withdraw from Gaza until Hamas completes full disarmament. The clarification follows formal objections raised by Israeli officials over an earlier draft proposal that called for an immediate halt to military strikes and a phased troop exit.

While U.S. President Donald Trump previously suggested the plan had broad approval, Israeli representatives cited serious security concerns regarding its implementation. Hamas officials noted that while a tentative consensus on weapons was reached, implementation depends on prior moves by Israel.

Meanwhile, Gaza residents expressed skepticism about the peace push, pointing to recent military strikes that killed at least 18 people.
