Ukrainian long-range strikes hit a Siberian refinery while Russian bombardments cause casualties and severe destruction in eastern Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that defense forces struck an oil refinery in Tobolsk, Siberia, located over 2,500 kilometers from the border, aiming to show Russian citizens "the necessity of ending the war."

Concurrently, intensified Russian artillery and aerial bombardments across eastern Ukraine killed at least three civilians and wounded nine others, including children. Attacks targeting energy infrastructure in Chernihiv Oblast left around 99,000 subscribers without electricity. In Donetsk Oblast, persistent shelling has severely destroyed the frontline city of Druzhkivka, where local authorities report the population has dropped from nearly 56,000 prior to the invasion to fewer than 4,000 residents.
