Ukraine conducted a long-range strike in Siberia while authorities investigate a drone explosion near a Bulgarian gas pipeline amid continued Russian attacks on eastern Ukraine.

Ukrainian forces executed a long-range strike against an oil refinery in Tobolsk, Siberia, reaching targets more than 2,500 kilometers away, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Kyiv framed the operation as part of a strategy to compel Moscow to enter peace negotiations.

Meanwhile, Bulgarian and Ukrainian authorities launched an investigation after an unmanned aerial vehicle crossed into Bulgarian airspace from Romania and detonated near an international gas pipeline. Sofia reported the drone resembled models used by Kyiv, while Ukrainian officials denied targeting Bulgarian territory and described the event as likely unintentional.

Concurrently, Russian bombardments across eastern and northern Ukraine killed at least three civilians and left nearly 99,000 residents without electricity in Chernihiv Oblast, while relentless shelling severely depopulated the frontline town of Druzhkivka.
