Escalating Russian strikes across Ukraine spark civilian mass evacuations, infrastructure warnings, and street-level military conscription.

Intensified Russian drone and missile strikes across Ukraine have heightened civilian displacement and raised fears of widespread winter power failures. Regional authorities in Kherson have urged families and elderly residents to evacuate as infrastructure faces severe disruption. In eastern Lozova, reception centres are handling hundreds of displaced civilians daily who are fleeing advancing threats.

The offensive has driven monthly civilian fatalities to their highest levels since early 2022, highlighted by a lethal strike on a shopping centre in Kryvyi Rih that left at least 14 dead and over 120 injured. As President Volodymyr Zelenskyy continues appealing for Western Patriot air defence systems, Ukrainian draft officers are actively enforcing conscription on city streets to target an estimated two million men avoiding military service.
